This year-long program teaches specialized forensic techniques such as bloodstain pattern analysis (BPA), fingerprint and impression examination, pathology and injury assessment, anthropology and archaeology, along with forensic DNA and chemistry. Ideal for science graduates or those with a related bachelor's degree, the course equips you with investigative skills for criminal cases. Current law enforcement or forensic professionals can enhance their qualifications through this university-accredited program. Complete eight postgraduate forensic units involving crime scene reconstruction while mastering evidence collection, analysis, and interpretation of biological, chemical, and physical traces. Develop proficiency in sample preparation, contamination prevention, quality control, statistical analysis, and evidentiary standards while training to present expert testimony in legal proceedings.

Qualification Requirements

University level (AQF Level 7) qualification in Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, “Other Natural and Physical Sciences” or relevant Health related fields (Medical, Veterinary or Dental Studies, Nursing, Pharmacy or “Other Health”). Majors in Criminology will be considered if they contain units in a Biological or Chemical Sciences (i.e. Crime Science) at the discretion of the Academic Chair. Or 2 years or more relevant professional experience or training subject to the approval of the Academic Chair.

English Language requirements: IELTS overall 6.0 with no band below 6.0; CAE - 169 overall with no band below 169; PTE - 50 with no band below 50; TOEFL IBT - 73 with no band less than 18; OET - OET with a minimum of C (250-290) in each of the four components.
