Educational and developmental psychologists specialize in studying human growth and learning across all life stages. These professionals collaborate with individuals, families, communities, and organizations in diverse environments, serving in capacities like school counselors, youth advisors, and academic support specialists. They perform cognitive and academic evaluations while creating tailored learning strategies for students with special needs at all ages. The Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology program, accredited by APAC as a fifth and sixth-year psychology qualification, trains students for professional practice in schools, healthcare institutions, community services, and corporate settings. This program cultivates autonomous practitioners dedicated to continuous learning, integrating psychological theory, research methodologies, diagnostic tools, and therapeutic techniques. Students gain expertise in: lifespan development patterns, diagnostic and intervention methods for developmental challenges, advanced counseling techniques, inclusive education frameworks, research-backed treatment approaches for psychological conditions, current theories of cognition and personality, professional ethics and cultural considerations, as well as comprehensive assessment tool administration for evaluating cognitive abilities and emotional wellbeing from childhood through adulthood. The curriculum includes 1,000 hours of hands-on training through supervised clinical placements in various professional environments.
