your journey toward becoming a registered general psychologist. The Master of Professional Psychology serves as a fifth-year psychology training program. This qualification equips you with essential theoretical knowledge, research skill development, and practical competencies needed for professional practice across various settings and diverse populations. This degree represents the fifth year in a 5+1 pathway to general psychology registration. Upon graduation, you'll need to complete a one-year internship approved by the Psychology Board of Australia before qualifying for general registration as a psychologist.
Applicants must normally hold an approved honours degree or fourth-year equivalent qualification of first- or upper-second-class standard in psychology from a recognised tertiary institution.
Candidates will be chosen based on interview, clinically relevant skills and experience, and referee reports.
