Our Japanese studies program is among Australia's most comprehensive, immersing you in Japanese language, culture, and society. Flexible entry points (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) ensure you study at the right level for your background. Proficiency in Japanese and cultural sensitivity enhance any field of study, whether law, business, or visual arts. Our cross-disciplinary approach examines Japanese culture from multiple angles—historical, artistic, religious, political, and international—particularly within the broader Asian context.
