This dual-degree program awards both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music, giving you complete qualifications to excel in either field or blend them professionally. The Chinese studies curriculum helps you achieve advanced Mandarin language skills, including translation abilities. Catering to all proficiency levels from beginner to advanced, the program accommodates both heritage and non-heritage speakers. You'll enhance your speaking, reading, writing, and research capabilities appropriate to your level, with the goal of fostering independent Chinese studies research. To ensure proper placement, all non-beginner students must complete a language assessment before starting their studies. After placement, you'll follow a structured language progression, with opportunities for intensive study abroad programs at various levels.
