Physiotherapists evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for individuals with movement impairments or disabilities, including those with short-term or chronic injuries, as well as musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions. They employ various techniques such as patient education, tailored exercise programs, and hands-on therapy to help patients reach their recovery objectives, improve mobility, and enhance overall well-being. Physiotherapists may practice independently or collaborate within healthcare teams, focusing on injury prevention, health promotion, and participation in clinical research, rehabilitation, ergonomics, and healthcare management.
After completing an applied anatomy module in Term 1 (Jan-Feb), the first year of the program builds foundational knowledge and skills essential for physiotherapy practice across diverse healthcare settings and patient populations. The second year combines theoretical learning with clinical placements, allowing students to refine advanced techniques and apply them in real-world healthcare environments.
