La Trobe's Bachelor of Global Studies provides comprehensive knowledge about critical issues affecting major regions and nations worldwide. This program is structured to familiarize you with global challenges and policy solutions, equipping you with skills to address future complexities. Core subjects cover the evolution of international relations, geopolitical studies, modern security concerns—like U.S. influence, China's growth, modern warfare, and terrorism—along with pressing matters of human and environmental safety.

Examine international collaboration and disputes. Study the interplay of authority, sovereignty, and protection, investigating pivotal shifts in modern global affairs. Explore the significant impact of international legislation, covering humanitarian, ecological, and asylum policies.

The Greek Studies specialization allows you to explore Greek language, heritage, politics, and society from antiquity to today. Through this focus, you'll gain analytical insights into Greek cultural development both in its homeland and across global communities, including multicultural Australia. Melbourne's vibrant Greek population offers rich cultural experiences to apply your learning. Combine language courses at different proficiency levels with studies in classical and contemporary Greek arts, history, and social structures. This specialization prepares you for diverse careers in education, translation, healthcare, finance, tourism, and related fields domestically and abroad. You'll also have opportunities to study in Greece or Cyprus via exchange programs or La Trobe's short-term cultural immersion course, "Connecting with Language and Culture in Greece."
