The Master of Professional Accounting (16-subject program) spans 4 trimesters across 2 calendar years. Learners have the option to utilize all 3 trimesters for continuous study, potentially shortening their program duration. This course allows graduates holding a recognized bachelor's degree, graduate certificate, or graduate diploma in any discipline (at AQF Level 7 standard and approved by King's Own Institute) to acquire the necessary expertise for Associate Membership with accounting bodies like CAANZ, IPA, and CPA Australia. The program lays the groundwork for a fulfilling career in professional accounting.
Comprising 16 core subjects, the curriculum introduces students to the organizational, regulatory, and market environments where accountants function. Participants then advance their accounting knowledge within both practical professional settings and theoretical frameworks. The program culminates with a Research Project component, enhancing technical proficiency while developing key professional skills including critical analysis, problem-solving, strategic decision-making, effective communication, information systems management, and ethical reasoning.
