This postgraduate program offers comprehensive specialization in civil engineering disciplines. The curriculum builds upon foundational knowledge acquired during undergraduate studies, enhancing expertise for practicing engineers seeking to refine their design abilities and problem-solving skills for diverse structural challenges in real-world scenarios.
Graduates will qualify for leadership positions across construction, infrastructure development, and resource sectors, serving both government and private clients. The program specifically develops competencies in structural assessment and design for critical infrastructure including transportation systems, hydraulic networks, and urban high-rises. With Australia's ongoing shortage of qualified civil engineers and significant global infrastructure investments, this qualification provides emerging professionals with advanced technical capabilities to meet industry demands.
To be eligible for admission to Master of Civil Engineering, a student must hold: a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent three year or four year Civil Engineering undergraduate degree from a recognised university (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) OR a Bachelor Honours degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent four year Civil Engineering undergraduate degree from a recognised university (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) OR a Graduate Certificate in Civil Engineering.
