This program covers sport development, business administration, and community recreation initiatives. The curriculum focuses on four key areas: sports and exercise science; business operations, sports management, and marketing; health education; and athletic coaching. Students will examine the specialized domain of community sports development, which focuses on boosting engagement by creating structured programs and participation pathways. The course provides thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of sports, wellness, and fitness, alongside business administration training for diverse career paths. Additional coursework includes human physiology, movement mechanics, sports psychology, social dynamics, sports administration, event planning, fitness instruction, and coaching techniques. Graduates will be qualified for roles in community sports and recreation such as health education specialists, development coordinators for amateur and professional sports groups, facility managers at recreation centers and resorts, leadership positions in national and state sports bodies, event planners, and sports marketing and communications professionals.
