The Bachelor of Science (Health Sciences) (Honours) program allows students to expand upon their undergraduate education by specializing in one of these fields: health promotion, food science, nutrition, occupational health and safety, epidemiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength training, motor skill development, or sports science. Along with coursework in their selected specialization, participants will explore research methodologies and refine their critical analysis abilities. The program includes a guided research project culminating in an honours thesis presentation.
This curriculum fosters innovative thinking and provides comprehensive research training, keeping students abreast of cutting-edge developments in exercise and sports science. Honours graduates acquire advanced research capabilities that enhance their career prospects. Those achieving first-class or upper-second-class honours gain direct admission eligibility for doctoral studies.
