Students who excel in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy programs (1589 or 1579) with a minimum GPA of 5.0 after two years may apply to transition into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) program. Like the standard program, candidates must show proficiency in essential physiotherapy knowledge and clinical skills. Honors students will additionally cultivate specialized research capabilities during their final two years of study. Physiotherapy professionals focus on improving mobility and functionality for people of all ages, particularly addressing issues related to musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neurological systems. They practice in diverse environments including hospitals, private clinics, community health organizations, educational institutions, sports teams, and military services. Some physiotherapists pursue academic careers in teaching and research, or provide expert consultation to government and industry sectors.
