Students who complete psychology honors programs and aspire to become licensed psychologists can enroll in the Master of Psychology (Clinical) program. This degree is designed to equip you for clinical practice in diverse environments, including community mental health centers, hospitals, healthcare institutions, social services, and correctional facilities. You'll gain essential theoretical foundations, research competencies, and practical training necessary for professional certification. The curriculum covers both adult and child clinical psychology specialties. Upon graduation, you'll meet the requirements for psychologist licensure and be prepared for employment in various mental health fields. Professionals already working in human services—such as nursing, education, government, social work, and HR—often pursue this program to deepen their understanding of human behavior and enhance their professional expertise.
Applicants must normally hold an approved honours degree or fourth-year equivalent qualification of first- or upper-second-class standard in psychology from a recognised tertiary institution.
Candidates will be chosen based on interview, clinically relevant skills and experience, and referee reports.
