You're prepared to create an impact and improve lives through psychology. Our Master of Psychology (Clinical) program builds upon your existing knowledge of human behavior and mental health. This constitutes the fifth and sixth years of specialized training required for general psychologist registration in Australia. The program's objective is to provide graduates with the necessary expertise, abilities, and professional competencies for clinical practice across various settings with diverse populations. Developed in accordance with Psychological Sciences' educational approach, the Master of Psychology (Clinical) combines evidence-based theory with practical application, adhering to the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council's standards (January 2019) and the Psychology Board of Australia's registration requirements.
The curriculum features academic coursework, independent research culminating in a thesis, and practical placements. Students complete at least 1,000 hours of hands-on training at our campus clinic and external sites. This conditionally APAC-accredited program also holds TEQSA accreditation.
