The postgraduate groundwater hydrology program equips scientists, engineers, and environmental professionals with essential groundwater expertise through a career-oriented curriculum. Students develop comprehensive knowledge of hydrological systems and processes, extending beyond groundwater to explore its vital connections with surface water systems and plant ecosystems.
Our robust graduate teaching initiative in groundwater hydrology is supported by an acclaimed research program for doctoral candidates. Recognized as a global pioneer in groundwater studies, Flinders University ranked 13th worldwide for water resources research in the 2019 Academic Ranking of World Universities. As home to the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training (NCGRT), Flinders offers unparalleled industry connections and specialized knowledge through collaborations with major organizations including CSIRO Land and Water and the Department of Environment and Water, among other key partners.
Applicants for the graduate certificate must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification in any relevant discipline of science or engineering from an approved tertiary institution.
