The academic team at Flinders Creative and Performing Arts comprises multiple acclaimed writers who are acknowledged as pioneers in their disciplines, both nationally and internationally, for their theoretical and practice-based research. Our faculty supervisors leverage their deep expertise and innovative research across creative writing, theatrical production, drama, and screen studies.
The PhD program aims to deliver advanced research training while facilitating or recognizing the creation of significant original work that meaningfully advances scholarly knowledge. PhD graduates will possess specialized cognitive, technical, and research capabilities within their discipline, enabling them to autonomously conduct original investigations, demonstrate research proficiency, apply appropriate methodologies, critically evaluate sources and literature, understand their specialization's broader context, produce high-quality written work, exhibit independent thinking, and make substantial original contributions to their field.
To be accepted for enrolment in a Doctor of Philosophy candidature, an applicant must:
