The Bachelor of Music (Worship) program is integrated into the standard Bachelor of Music curriculum (refer to course page for more information). This specialized track provides aspiring musicians with professional training in technical skills, artistic development, and musical analysis while focusing on theological education for Christian ministry roles. Unique subjects like Worship Music in Practice, Worship Music Placement, and Theology of Worship offer students comprehensive biblical knowledge and practical methodologies for musical worship across various church environments. The curriculum examines foundational worship concepts from Scripture, covering themes like God's creative nature and fatherhood, ancient worship practices, David's legacy, Christ's life and work, the Spirit's role, and ecclesiology. Participants also engage in music creation, producing an EP of original worship material suitable for both personal devotion and corporate worship settings, with training covering the entire production cycle. Practical experience includes church-based placements supervised by Excelsia faculty and ministry leaders, offering opportunities for mentorship, skill refinement, ensemble work, creative planning, and worship leadership development. These experiences connect with Excelsia's campus ministries like The Gathering and other worship events. Upon graduation, students will be equipped to guide worship teams in both academic and church contexts.
