Seeks to cultivate experts in occupational health and safety (OHS) capable of creating OHS frameworks and analyzing workplace safety concerns. Upon finishing the program, students should demonstrate the ability to: create and deploy occupational health and safety management systems tailored to an organization's requirements; evaluate workplace risk management procedures, including incident investigation methods across various industries; analyze how occupational health and safety laws are applied in work environments; assess different hazard types and predict when they may escalate into risks; utilize research techniques to examine safe design implementation for protecting people, equipment, and the environment; conduct and present findings from workplace research projects; and exhibit professional competencies, including advocating for workplace safety through verbal and written communication.
