This program attracts professionals and graduates from non-design backgrounds looking to enhance their skills by incorporating design thinking to develop empathy-driven, user-centered innovation.
Students will gain expertise in cross-disciplinary design approaches, learning design thinking as a framework for tackling complex problems and generating user-focused solutions. The curriculum emphasizes collaboration, empathy development, and prototyping as key drivers of innovative outcomes.

Successful applicants with a Graduate Certificate qualification or higher in Business/Commerce may seek reduced course duration by applying for recognition of prior learning.

Academic admission requirements (Band 6) may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:
Bachelor degree, or
Equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience.
IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0),
TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition - Minimum score of 84, with no individual score less than 17.
TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) - Minimum score of 573, including Test of Written English of 5.0 or better.
