These focus areas encompass Public Health Nutrition, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health Policy and Practice, Ageing and Wellbeing, Child & Adolescent Health, Substance Abuse, Professional Communities, and Education and Gender Studies. Prospective postgraduate research topics are collaboratively designed with the program coordinator or potential advisors, with special interest in: Occupational risk assessment models; Comprehensive organizational risk management; Mosquito-borne disease control; Climate change impacts; Heat-related health effects and policies; Wildfire consequences and heavy metal exposure; Food and water safety concerns; Urban food systems; Nutrition programs for schools, early childhood, and elderly care; Food education initiatives; Addressing food insecurity in rural, remote, and vulnerable populations; City-based farming; Sustainable agriculture and food supply networks; Infectious diseases and vaccination programs; Substance abuse prevention; Psychoactive substance research; Drug policy development; Aquatic environments; Senior social participation; Gender-specific alcohol studies; Youth mental health; Online harassment prevention; Community-based health research methods. Current School projects examine early childhood nutrition education, systems approaches to regional food security in Western Australia, educational games for children's health awareness, and exercise programs for elderly care residents. The School features specialized laboratories for occupational safety and environmental health studies with industry-standard assessment tools, along with advanced nutrition analysis facilities and innovative teaching spaces equipped with modern learning technologies.

Qualification Requirements
The following course-specific admission requirements are mandatory and must be satisfied by all applicants. These requirements are in addition to or supersede the minimum requirements outlined within the Academic admission requirements band section below.
All applicants are required to have the equivalent of 6 months full time research (which must involve a research output which includes the conception and design of the project, and analysis and interpretation of findings) if applying with a Masters qualification other than a Master by Research.
Applicants seeking online study will be required to provide additional information to support their application, as not all projects nor disciplines are suited to online study.
Special entry may be considered for applications to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) who will be required to attend an audition and/or interview.

Academic admission requirements (Band 11) may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:
Masters Degree (Research), or
Bachelor Honours Degree (First or Upper Second class), or
Demonstrated capacity to undertake original PhD-level research.
