ECU's Social Science Research focuses on studying vulnerability, human welfare, community health, fairness, gender issues, rights protection, and enhancing social and community service standards via policy assessment research.
The Social Science discipline encompasses multiple programs including Social Science, Social Work, and Youth Work. While customized postgraduate research topics are created collaboratively with the postgraduate coordinator or prospective supervisor, we especially welcome applications from candidates interested in: Social vulnerability and inclusion Gender equality Challenges in youth and youth work Domestic violence concerns Social work practice Community growth and resilience Disability studies Teaching and learning methodologies Social program assessment Current research projects within the school examine: children's rights, domestic abuse, youth homelessness, peer support systems, environmental social work, disability challenges, child welfare methods, reflective social work practices, suicide prevention, and redefining childhood concepts.
