Designed for students passionate about aviation, aeronautics, and flight who want to pursue accreditation in an engineering discipline. As Western Australia's sole program of this nature, aeronautical technology explores aviation science, covering aircraft systems, materials, manufacturing techniques, and flight operations. The curriculum builds scientific and mathematical foundations while incorporating engineering mechanics, CAD, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics. Specialized aviation topics include aircraft structures, propulsion systems, and aerodynamics, providing students with a technologist's perspective on aircraft functionality and performance.
This program emphasizes industry-relevant knowledge and skills, blending theoretical learning with hands-on problem-solving, collaborative work, and project-based activities. Graduates will develop both technical expertise and transferable competencies, emerging with advanced analytical capabilities suited for complex engineering challenges.
By selecting appropriate electives, graduates can transition into ECU's Master of Engineering program, specializing in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. This pathway allows students to attain professional engineering qualifications after completing two additional years of study.
There are various ways to meet our admission requirements, such as:
