Our Aerospace Research specialization is designed for exceptional aeronautical and space engineering students seeking to engage in supplementary research initiatives within the aerospace field.
This program provides the chance to participate in several supervised single-semester research projects throughout your degree, working alongside established research teams. This experience creates a foundation for postgraduate research or professional opportunities after completing your studies.
You'll have the chance to conduct innovative research in your selected area, developing skills in computational or experimental techniques, with potential opportunities to publish your results.
The Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Aeronautical Engineering) is an undergraduate program that builds expertise in aircraft design and operations both within Earth's atmosphere and in space. This program holds accreditation from Engineers Australia and other leading engineering organizations.
Your studies will include fundamental coursework in mathematics and computing, along with interdisciplinary project units. You'll also complete specialized aeronautical engineering courses and have the option to pursue a concentration area.
Elective units from either Engineering disciplines or shared course options can be selected to fulfill degree requirements. In your final year, you'll complete an honors research project in aeronautical engineering.
As part of the Professional Engagement Program, you'll gain practical experience throughout your studies, including mandatory engineering work placements during your last year.
