The Bachelor of Performing Arts (Honours) program allows students to deeply explore a specific research area of interest while gaining advanced research training at the fourth-year Honours level.
Participants can specialize in Dance or Performance Making, covering areas like devising, directing, writing, or design. The program supports students in refining their research focus and conducting studies that integrate practical, theoretical, and historical knowledge. It enhances technical abilities and fosters a nuanced grasp of the creative process. Seminar discussions and written components (exegesis or thesis) strengthen critical analysis and communication skills. Both practical and written assessments have professional relevance, equipping graduates to impact the performing arts sector. The Honours year may include international study tours or industry placements. Eligible undergraduate pathways include the Bachelor of Arts (Dance) and Bachelor of Performing Arts (with majors in Performance Making or Practice Transition).
