This program is offered through the School of Nursing and Midwifery, which maintains strong clinical partnerships and community connections to support its quality and patient safety research initiatives. The research focuses on three key themes relevant to all healthcare settings: Patient Experience, Patient Safety, and Workforce Development. The Master of Nursing is granted for significant, original research completed within two years of full-time study (or two to four years part-time). This research-based degree centers on producing a comprehensive thesis on your chosen topic under expert guidance. Evaluation is primarily based on the thesis, with little to no coursework required.
To be considered for selection into this degree you are required to have completed:
a research project including a thesis which is equivalent to at least 25% of a year’s full-time study at Level 8 of the Australian Qualifications Framework, with achievement of a grade for the project equivalent to a Deakin grade of 65% or equivalent

IELTS: Overall 7 No band less than 6.5
TOEFL IBT: 94 Writing 24
C1 ADVANCED and C2 PROFICIENCY: 185 No band less than 176
PTE: 65 No less than 58 in each skill
OET: Overall B (equivalent to a IELTS 7~7.5 range)
