This Master of Engineering program enables you to expand your expertise in a specific engineering discipline through self-directed, sustained research under academic supervision.
Working with our globally recognized faculty in the Science, Engineering and Built Environment department, you'll conduct in-depth research to gain comprehensive knowledge in one or more specialized fields. Through producing a significant scholarly work - a thesis of up to 50,000 words - you'll establish yourself as a specialist in your chosen area while enhancing your professional opportunities.
To be considered for selection into this degree you are required to have completed:
a research project including a thesis which is equivalent to at least 25% of a year’s full-time study at Level 8 of the Australian Qualifications Framework, with achievement of a grade for the project equivalent to a Deakin grade of 65% or equivalent

C1 ADVANCED and C2 PROFICIENCY: 176 No band less than 169
PTE: 58 No less than 50 in each skill
OET: Overall C+
