The MBA curriculum offers a comprehensive learning journey that combines essential business fundamentals, career growth opportunities, leadership training, and a culminating capstone project.
To earn the Master of Business Administration degree, participants need to accumulate 12 credit points, comprising 8 core unit credits and 4 elective credits (which can be applied toward faculty-wide specializations). Additionally, all students must complete the mandatory DAI001 Academic Integrity Module (0-credit point requirement).
The program allows students to incorporate Deakin's stackable microcredentials (0.5cp each) as elective options. These specialized masterclasses address contemporary workplace challenges and emerging trends relevant to MBA candidates. Generally, two microcredentials equal one elective credit point, delivering focused learning in concise, interactive formats.
The Deakin Advantage capstone serves as the program's integrative finale, where students tackle a real-world case study project that consolidates their accumulated knowledge, theories, and research from throughout the MBA program.
