This two-year program prepares you to enter the accounting profession while expanding your career opportunities. During the first year, you'll acquire essential accounting knowledge before advancing to specialized coursework in year two.
Your initial year focuses on developing core competencies in finance, analysis, research, and communication - all vital skills for accounting professionals. Learning combines academic theory with practical case studies. In the second year, you'll choose from three specialization tracks.
The curriculum provides practical training with industry-standard tools including Xero, Excel, R, Tableau, SPSS, Oracle, APEX, Python, ArcGIS, and VSOviewer. To boost your career readiness, you'll complete an accounting research project involving financial analysis of an actual business.
The program culminates with an industry-focused capstone experience, offering options like internships, research projects, or study tours. Networking opportunities include employer presentations from leading firms such as Coca-Cola Amatil, Grant Thornton, and Nexia.
