Curtin provides Western Australia's sole comprehensive honors degree in surveying. This program integrates knowledge from multiple fields such as computer science, engineering, environmental studies, geography, geology, business, mathematics, and physics.
Students explore specialized subjects including property boundary surveying, construction surveying, earth measurement, and aerial imaging, along with related topics like underwater surveying, urban development, mineral surveying, urban planning, and satellite imagery analysis.
The curriculum also covers cutting-edge technologies including aerial and maritime navigation systems, unmanned aerial vehicle surveying, computerized cartography, terrain and ecosystem management, 3D laser mapping, satellite positioning, and precision alignment measurement techniques.
Students from different countries should have qualifications equivalent to Australian Year 12 and a scaled mark of at least 50 in English, Literature, or English as an Additional Language or Dialect.
