This dual degree program allows you to pursue a major from the Faculty of Science and Engineering alongside one from the Faculty of Humanities. Upon completion, you'll earn both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts, equipped with advanced communication abilities needed to inform and engage others about recent scientific advancements. You will develop the skills to apply broad disciplinary knowledge across various theoretical and practical scenarios through research and hands-on experience in science and humanities. Locate, assess, and integrate pertinent information from diverse organizational and external sources. Communicate effectively and appropriately in both professional and scientific settings. Explain global and cultural issues relevant to science and humanities and their effects on local and global communities. Anthropology explores this question through the perspectives of culture and diversity, while sociology investigates how social groups and economic, political, and social influences shape human actions. This double major leverages the strengths of these interconnected disciplines, delving into how cultural practices, institutions, social groups, and daily life are evolving amid widespread global transformations. You'll analyze current topics like communication and media, community development, gender relations, education, family, human rights, health, employment, and crime.
