This extended elective course offers engineering students a comprehensive combination of civil and construction engineering principles along with hands-on skills essential for professional work.
Beyond core civil and construction engineering competencies, you'll acquire specialized mining engineering knowledge to enhance your career prospects in the mining sector.
Expanding upon your civil engineering foundation, the program covers key areas including surface and underground mining operations, materials management, and extraction techniques.
To meet professional standards, you'll undertake a minimum of 12 weeks (or equivalent) of practical engineering experience. This can be fulfilled through relevant employment or a mix of technical and non-technical engagements.
The program requires completion of at least 12 weeks (or equivalent) of professional engineering exposure, achievable through suitable work placements or a combination of technical and non-technical activities.
Students from different countries should have qualifications equivalent to Australian Year 12 and a scaled mark of at least 50 in English, Literature, or English as an Additional Language or Dialect.
