The Bachelor of Midwifery is an accredited professional degree that enables registration as a midwife. This program is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. CDU offers flexible study options, allowing you to pursue the Bachelor of Midwifery either online with intensive clinical teaching blocks or on campus, with full-time or part-time enrollment, while learning from field experts.
Upon completing the Bachelor of Midwifery, you'll be equipped to deliver evidence-based, woman-focused care across various settings, with special emphasis on rural, remote, and Indigenous Australian communities. Your role will involve enhancing maternal and family health by respecting women's birthing preferences and offering specialized knowledge during pregnancy, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal stages. Additionally, you'll gain skills to work alongside healthcare teams in managing complex maternity cases.
Program length - 3 years full-time
Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 80.
Successful completion of a national qualification at Diploma level or higher.
Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma with a GPA of 5.5 and above.
Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEST PATHWAY
Applicants have achieved and can supply evidence of the required minimum scores in one of the following English language tests:

TOEFL Minimum Scores
Internet-based: total score of 94 with a minimum of 27 in Writing, 23 in Speaking and 24 in Reading and Listening

Pearson Test of English (Academic) Minimum Scores
Overall score of 65 AND Skills profile of 65 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening
(PTE Online test is not accepted)
Occupational English Test (OET)
A minimum result of B/score of 350 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking).
