The Master of Laws in Australian Law and Practice is tailored for internationally educated lawyers seeking to practice in Australia, meeting the Legal Practitioners Admission Board's requirements to demonstrate knowledge equivalent to locally trained graduates.
This program offers a dual benefit: qualifying you for legal practice in Australia while earning a postgraduate qualification.
This 80-credit point program (8 subjects total) spans two semesters and is customized to individual needs. Your coursework will include mandatory subjects specified by the Legal Practitioners Admission Board (maximum 8 subjects) plus elective postgraduate law subjects of your choice to complete the required credit points.
After completing this Master's program, aspiring practitioners can enroll in Bond University's Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) - also called practical legal training (PLT) - which prepares graduates for admission to the legal profession in Australia.
Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor Degree or qualification equivalent to AQF Level 7.
English language proficiency requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic Overall score 6.5 with no sub score less than 6.0
Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT): Overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
