The Master of Architecture is an accredited professional degree that meets the competency standards set by the Board of Architects Queensland and the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia. This program delivers a customized architectural education within an innovative studio setting, emphasizing design through hands-on and digital fabrication using cutting-edge tools. Design studios center on real-world projects, with particular focus on urban development, the evolution of global cities, and architecture's role in responding to urban, environmental, social, and technological shifts. Graduates will exhibit expert-level architectural design skills that are inventive, analytical, and spatially aware, grounded in advanced historical, theoretical, technical, and professional knowledge. Each student completes a design thesis as the capstone of the program, showcasing independent critical thinking and refined design proficiency. At the Abedian School of Architecture, the curriculum addresses urgent global and national issues, including rapid urbanization, environmental challenges, technological advancements, and growing socioeconomic disparities. The Master of Architecture equips students for international careers by cultivating advanced professional skills and knowledge, enabling them to integrate complex information when tackling creative-design problems with a globally relevant yet locally applicable skillset.
Completion of a Bond University Bachelor of Architectural Studies or a Bond University Bachelor of Design in Architecture or a Bond University Graduate Diploma in Architecture or a degree of equivalent standard to an Australian bachelor degree in Architecture from another institution, having achieved an overall distinction average (GPA 3.0/4.0).
Or, completion of a Bond University Bachelor of Architectural Studies or a Bond University Bachelor of Design in Architecture or a degree of equivalent standard to an Australian bachelor degree in Architecture from another institution, having achieved a credit average (GPA 2.0/4.0) PLUS submission of a high-quality portfolio of design work for assessment.
English language proficiency requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic Overall score 6.5 with no sub score less than 6.0
Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT): Overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
