The Master of Science in Astronomy & Astrophysics is a two-year, full-time program consisting entirely of coursework. Students can customize their studies to align with their interests, choosing from subjects like astrophysical techniques, computational astrophysics, planetary science, stellar studies, galactic astronomy, cosmology, and related interdisciplinary fields. Numerous courses incorporate practical research elements or hands-on learning opportunities that build expertise in cutting-edge astronomical and astrophysical developments. The program also provides instruction in transferable skills valuable beyond academia, including project management, programming, and analytical problem-solving. Certain classes may involve gathering and processing telescope observations, constructing theoretical frameworks, or designing and evaluating new astronomical equipment.
