The Master of Regulation and Governance (MREGG) is a distinctive program designed to prepare students and their organizations for managing complex regulatory landscapes amid rapid technological change and emerging risks. Graduates will enter or continue careers in government or private sector roles focused on developing regulatory policies to address critical societal challenges, frequently collaborating with various stakeholders. Foundational courses establish key principles, frameworks, and practical applications of regulation and governance, while electives offer hands-on learning through case studies, simulations, and clinics covering areas like climate action, public health, Indigenous affairs, justice systems, and urban planning. The interactive curriculum explores the origins, creators, and objectives of regulatory systems, with particular focus on disaster prevention, risk mitigation, and achieving fair societal results. The program builds upon ANU RegNet's internationally recognized research and innovative thinking in governance. MREGG students become part of RegNet's dynamic learning environment, which fosters cross-disciplinary expertise, Asia-Pacific engagement, thought-provoking coursework, expert-led workshops, international connections, and diverse professional opportunities.
