This program assists professionals and their organizations in comprehending and implementing modern Australian and global regulatory and governance practices. Key topics address regulatory complexity, risk evaluation, adaptability, compliance, technology's role in regulation, and stakeholder management. Ideal for those overseeing regulatory initiatives in government, corporate, or non-profit sectors—or preparing for such roles—it benefits professionals engaging with diverse stakeholders like businesses, government bodies at all levels, legislators, community groups, and media. Through practical methods including case studies, interactive evaluations, and exemplary regulatory models from Australia, Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific, the program offers hands-on learning. The 24-unit curriculum can be completed part-time within one year.
A Bachelor degree or an international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 4/7 A minimum of 5 years' work experience in a role that has responsibility for organization-level or public, private or NGO sector-wide regulatory system design and/or monitoring and compliance and/or enforcement (an employer statement of service and evidence of the work experience will be required) A minimum of 10 years' work experience in one or more roles at ANZSCO Skill Level 1. These roles need not relate directly to regulation and/or governance. Most occupations at ANZSCO Skill Level 1 have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
