The Master of History (Advanced) equips you with both theoretical knowledge and practical abilities for advanced historical studies, while allowing customization based on your academic interests. Secondary educators can concentrate on subjects aligned with the national history curriculum.
This program can be undertaken on-campus, with numerous courses offered online. However, international students holding subclass 500 visas must note they cannot complete more than 33% of their studies through online delivery.
At ANU, history students benefit from our award-winning instruction and research across diverse fields including Australian, North American, ancient, early modern/modern European, and British history. You'll also access specialized knowledge from our renowned centers focusing on Indigenous history, environmental history, and biographical studies.
Additionally, you'll have privileged access to the extensive collections of Australia's premier cultural institutions: the National Library, National Archives, National Museum, and National Gallery.
