The Graduate Certificate in Demography stands as Australia's exclusive postgraduate qualification of its type.
This program enables students to explore population studies within a research-intensive setting, emphasizing practical application to real-life situations. Participants will gain advanced expertise in demographic methods, research methodologies, and academic writing. Upon completion, graduates will possess the analytical skills to address social challenges including aging populations, migration patterns, and demographic expansion.
Students can pursue the Certificate through on-campus studies, with numerous courses offering online options. However, international students holding subclass 500 visas are restricted to online study for no more than 33% of the program. The curriculum highlights two distinctive elements: scenario-driven education and direct engagement with top researchers, both forming core aspects of the learning journey across all courses.
Applicants must present one of the following:
The GPA for a Bachelor program will be calculated from (i) a completed Bachelor degree using all grades and/or (ii) a completed Bachelor degree using all grades other than those from the last semester (or equivalent study period) of the Bachelor degree. The higher of the two calculations will be used as the basis for admission.
