This program requires at least 1.5 years of full-time study. It builds expertise and analytical skills in sustainable resource utilization and governance, examining the socioeconomic, political, cultural, and institutional factors influencing environmental policy and management choices. Participants acquire sophisticated understanding of interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies for tackling ecological issues, learning how to improve environmental stewardship while balancing ecological, economic, and social priorities. The curriculum combines advanced coursework with guided research culminating in a thesis project.
