Educational Objectives
Design and conduct an autonomous, sustained critical examination of a selected research subject to produce novel insights within mathematical disciplines.

Methodically assess relevant mathematical theories and principles, connect these with suitable methodologies and evidence, and derive well-founded conclusions.

Qualification Requirements

An AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences degree or equivalent completed within the last two years.
with a weighted average mark equivalent to an ANU 70 per cent calculated from the 36 units ie 0.75 EFTSL of mathematics courses excluding 1000-level courses ie introductory undergraduate courses with the highest marks.
Completion of at least eight 2000 and 3000-level courses in the subject area mathematics with at least four 3000-level courses or equivalent.
With the written approval of an identified supervisor for the research project.
IELTS - Overall score - 6.5, Reading - 6.0, Writing - 6.0, Listening - 6.0, Speaking - 6.0.
TOEFL IBT - Overall score - 80, Reading - 20, Writing - 20, Listening - 18, Speaking - 18.
