The Earth Science program explores our planet's formation, tracing its journey from a nascent celestial body orbiting the sun to the development of its geological features, oceans, and atmosphere that enabled life to flourish. Over the last half-century, the revolutionary concept of plate tectonics has revealed Earth's dynamic crustal movements. These tectonic interactions give rise to seismic activity, mountain ranges, and volcanic phenomena. Beyond studying these fundamental planetary processes, Earth Scientists also investigate the formation of global resources. A growing focus of the field involves analyzing climate systems across different eras by examining the complex relationships between Earth's crust, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and living organisms.

Learning Outcomes
Collect and analyze diverse Earth Science data using multiple methodologies.
Acquire both conceptual knowledge and hands-on skills essential for geological studies.
Comprehend the historical development and key discussions in Geology that shaped contemporary Earth Science.
Utilize temporal (continental and biological evolution across eons) and spatial (from microscopic to planetary scales) perspectives in various scientific applications.
