It enables students to grasp the development of human rights across philosophical, historical, and political dimensions, the diverse mechanisms and stakeholders involved in advancing and safeguarding human rights, the connection between human rights concepts and real-world implementation, and significant global case studies. The curriculum aims to equip students with a comprehensive grasp of pivotal topics in modern human rights studies.Learning OutcomesRecognize, examine, and evaluate pivotal events, topics, and controversies in the evolution of the debated notion of human rights;Recognize and evaluate the varied implementations of human rights in theory, legislation, and actual situations;Clarify and critique the principal current theoretical disputes in human rights discourse; andIdentify and evaluate the overlap between human rights theories and the practical enforcement of human rights norms.
