The Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Affairs offers a comprehensive study of regional dynamics in the Asia-Pacific, leveraging ANU's expertise across four key disciplines: political science, international relations and security studies, peace and conflict resolution, and historical and cultural studies.
This distinctive program enables students to analyze transnational influences and modern challenges across the Asia-Pacific while fostering cultural awareness. Through a partnership with Japan's Ritsumeikan University (RU), students can participate in exchange programs, potentially earning dual degrees - ANU's Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Affairs and RU's Bachelor of Global Liberal Arts - upon meeting all requirements.
Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Affairs (BAPAF) will split their studies equally between ANU and RU over four years. Currently available exclusively to domestic applicants, the program accepts a maximum of 10 new students annually at ANU.
