The Psychology Honours program is designed for students who have finished an APAC-accredited undergraduate psychology sequence and wish to pursue independent psychological research. Typically completed full-time over two semesters, this specialization offers research training, advanced exploration of contemporary psychological concepts, and a major research project resulting in a thesis. Honours provides essential research fundamentals, serving as a gateway to diverse career paths within and beyond psychology, including clinical psychology.
Learning Outcomes
Develop and conduct an autonomous, sustained critical examination of a selected research topic to contribute original insights to psychological knowledge.
Critically assess relevant psychological theories, principles, and practices, connecting them to appropriate research methods and empirical evidence to form well-reasoned conclusions.
