The accredited psychology program provides students with comprehensive knowledge across key psychological disciplines including motivation, emotion, biological bases of behavior, cognition, social interactions, and personality. This major cultivates analytical abilities, research methodologies, statistical expertise, and enhances interpersonal and communication skills. Graduates must complete an APAC-accredited course as a prerequisite for advanced studies. The Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) evaluates: curriculum alignment with established standards; faculty qualifications; and institutional support systems.
Upon graduating from this program, students will have developed the capacity to:
Evaluate theories, research methodologies, and practical applications across humanities, social sciences, and arts;
Assess scholarly work and professional practices in cultural and creative disciplines;
Design, implement, and present investigative projects examining diverse communities across various contexts and historical periods;
Conduct and share research exploring different cultural experiences and social narratives;
Exhibit initiative, reflective thinking, and innovative approaches to overcome academic and professional challenges
