The Master of Nursing (Graduate Entry) at Adelaide University equips you for a fulfilling career as a registered nurse through its accelerated program. From your first semester, you'll gain essential nursing knowledge and practical experience. This degree prepares you to deliver comprehensive patient care throughout all life stages, covering everything from initial assessments to technical procedures, triage, and proper documentation. The curriculum includes fundamental biosciences, socio-political contexts, and crucial training in evidence-based research and effective communication - skills essential for daily practice. With 800 hours of clinical placements, you'll experience diverse healthcare environments including aged care, acute care, and general medical settings, ensuring you're ready for various nursing roles upon graduation. Upon completion, you'll qualify to register with Australia's Nursing and Midwifery Board, the national regulatory authority for registered nurses.
To be eligible, an applicant must have achieved the following minimum entry requirement and demonstrate they fulfil any prerequisite and essential criteria for admission. In cases where there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with ranks based on the entry criteria.

Students must meet the relevant requirements associated with Professional Experience Placement (PEP) prior to commencement. PEP is an essential and compulsory part of this program. PEP may be allocated across the calendar year, outside of usual teaching weeks. Students are required to complete PEP full time (40 hours/week), some weekend and shift work will be required. PEP cannot be completed on a part time basis unless offered by the clinical setting.
