Offered in collaboration with the Biostatistics Collaboration of Australia (BCA), this program develops the skills necessary for professional biostatistics practice. During the Master of Biostatistics, you'll enhance your analytical, decision-making, and quantitative abilities. The curriculum covers population health studies, providing fundamental techniques for epidemiological investigations. You'll become proficient in mathematical and statistical approaches for biostatistical evaluation, while exploring machine learning applications for processing complex healthcare datasets. The program also emphasizes ethical aspects of health data research and analysis. Although primarily online, the course includes a practical biostatistics project offering real-world workplace experience. Under the mentorship of Australia's top biostatisticians and academics, you'll complete the program prepared for roles in medical research, pharmaceutical development, or public health organizations.
To be eligible, an applicant must have achieved at least one of the following minimum entry requirements and demonstrate they fulfil any prerequisite and essential criteria for admission. In cases where there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with ranks based on the entry criteria.
