Through field education placements, you'll gain hands-on experience while developing professional connections and refining practical abilities.
Graduates will be prepared to address modern challenges encountered by human service professionals working with individuals, families, and communities. The program features realistic simulations in our advanced Social Work and Human Services Studio, followed by 560 hours of practical placements in your final year. The degree emphasizes four core study areas:
Behavioral and social sciences: examining human behavior through cultural, environmental, psychological, and political lenses
Human service practice: covering political influences, ethical considerations, and essential communication techniques for field success
Human service management: developing skills for planning, delivering, and assessing various human services
Social policy: analyzing policies impacting communities and strategies for effective advocacy.
