Mechanical engineers specialize in creating and optimizing machinery that drives motion in various systems. They develop, construct, and service the mechanisms behind vehicles, airplanes, robotic systems, and renewable energy technologies.
Their work extends beyond conventional applications, tackling worldwide issues—such as engineering affordable medical equipment to improve healthcare availability or creating intelligent water management solutions for arid agricultural regions.
Our program emphasizes hands-on learning, equipping you with the skills and real-world exposure needed to excel in the engineering field.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) delivers comprehensive training in fundamental concepts, methodologies, and specialized competencies crucial for mechanical engineering.
Core coursework explores essential mechanical design principles: structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, motion analysis, oscillation control, and thermal energy systems.
Diverse elective options allow you to sample various disciplines or concentrate on specific mechanical engineering domains—from cutting-edge materials science to sustainable energy solutions or engineering for social impact.
The curriculum balances theoretical foundations with practical application.
Throughout your studies, you'll engage in hands-on learning through design challenges, technical workshops, and up to 450 hours of professional internships—all designed to refine both your technical abilities and workplace competencies.
These combined experiences prepare you to launch your career as a skilled mechanical engineer, armed with both specialized knowledge and practical expertise.
